Developed after years of working with Dr.
Andy Pruitt Ed.D., PA of the Boulder Center
for Sports Medicine and found only at your
local Specialized dealer, BG FIT (Body
Geometry Fit Integration Technology) is a
comprehensive fit philosophy created to help
cyclists ride faster, longer and in greater
comfort, while reducing the chance for injury.
BG FIT “technicians” are trained by the
medical consultants and expert staff at
Specialized to analyze each rider’s unique
attributes, pedal stroke and body position.
Using the data gained during the assessment,
they optimize the bike and equipment to
match the rider’s biomechanical profile.
Unlike any of the nameless fit systems
available today, BG FIT is the only one to
leverage trained fit technicians, breakthrough
fit tools like a detailed and dynamic fit
assessment process, plus ergonomically
enhanced bikes and equipment.

Here's the sitch: The 1x1 Rat Ride, later renamed the Surly 1x1, was Surly's very first frame. Holy crap. When was that? A lot has probably happened since then. They thought about it for a while with their tongues sticking out, sat down, chewed on their pencil stubs, did the math, and discovered that in the universal language of mathematics there is a simple equation to explain it:
1x1=11.
Hard to believe but Surly turns eleven years old this year.
Hardened blackhearts though they are, they nonetheless felt that a little nod to their staying power and your support over the years was in order. They think many of us will take one look and agree it is fully rad. We know we do. Consider, for example, 24 x 3" slicks on Large Marge rims. If that don't rev your deal you might need to check your pulse!

The Comlara Off-Road Biking Association (C.O.R.B.A.) was founded to help promote the sport of mountain biking at Comlara Park. Members frequently help to upkeep and design new trails as Mc Lean County park volunteers.
The Club and members also help the park with the annual Mud Sweat and Gears (MS&G) race. This race is part of the I-74 race series which includes races from the Quad Cities all the way to Danville. Past involvement in the MS&G race has included course design suggestions, race course prep, and race day volunteer staffing.
